Job Description


Hours: Full Time

Compensation: Experience based with benefits for Full Time Employee

Location: 136 E. Main St. Midway, KY 40347


Position summary:

Freedman’s in its 12th year as a retailer in the United States but has been in business in Toronto, Canada since 1910. We are a luxury equestrian retail company and the position requires the applicant to have a thorough understanding of the equine industry and retail experience, luxury brand preferred. Applicant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including retail sales, warehouse and shipping/receiving, daily upkeep of the retail store, inventory management, database management and basic retail accounting. This position will require an employee to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and be a self starter. Hiring and training of new employees and effectively finding ways to problem solve if and when the situation arises. We seek team members that strive for excellence, take initiative and promote our brand. Candidate must be reliable and responsible with a high level of professionalism.



  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Prior luxury retail sales experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of the horse industry
  • Professional appearance- business attire required
  • Ability and desire to sell in a retail environment
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Manage the store in the absence of store manager
  • Support hiring manager on a variety of tasks
  • Must be able to physically maneuver and handle racks and carts of merchandise
  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required


Education Requirements:

  • University Education preferred

  • Excel, Word, Outlook, Simply or other accounting software experience preferred
